With our success comes the responsibility to give back to the creative community. We seek to contribute to our community in ways that reflect broadly held views, have meaningful impact, draw upon our unique strengths as a company, and, whenever possible, reinforce our business objectives.
Charitable Giving Guidelines
Artmart supports the creative community in the form of cash grants, in-kind services, or products. The following information outlines major focus areas for giving.
A focused approach: Artmart takes a strategic, focused approach to community investing by seeking partnerships that create meaningful, lasting, and sustainable value. Some of our most enduring and valued relationships include:
- Our “Say Yes To Art” program teaches art to hundreds of children at children’s hospitals, camps and children's’ homes
- Very Special Arts Missouri—this group teaches art to handicapped children
- The St. Louis Art Fair—we proudly sponsor The Creative Castle and The Art Studio
- The St. Louis Artists’ Guild
- Art St. Louis
- Craft Alliance
- Center of Contemporary Arts (COCA)
- The art programs of every College and University in the area
- The St. Louis Art Museum
- 100 Neediest Cases Art Contest
- Contemporary Art Museum

We firmly believe in the importance of art and creativity. We continue to try to add value to the arts, thus enhancing our community’s rich cultural tradition.
General Giving Guidelines
Organizations seeking contributions from Artmart must meet the following criteria:
- Be a privately supported, non-profit organization that is a 501C(3) tax-exempt organization under the Internal Revenue Code.
- Show how the project will have an impact on a substantial part of the creative community.
- Be an art organization or event directly related to the arts.
Artmart’s Corporate Contributions Policy will not consider the following:
- Gifts to individuals
- Fraternal, veteran, labor, or political
- Organizations that discriminate for any reason, including race, color, religion, creed, age, sexual orientation, or national origin
- Churches and other religious organizations; however, we will consider requests from religious sponsored groups whose activities benefit the art and creative community
- Research programs or studies
- Sponsorship/journal advertising
- Conferences and exhibits
- Trips or tours
- Mass mailings or form letters
- Capital campaigns
How to Apply
All requests for corporate contributions must be in writing and include the following information:
- A brief description of the organization’s purpose, objectives, and programs
- A detailed description of the type and amount of support being requested, any relevant deadline or event dates, and how the organization will use the contribution
- A copy of the Internal Revenue Service 501C(3) determination letter designating the organization as a non-profit, tax exempt organization
- A list of the current Board of Directors and each director’s business affiliation
- A list of all major contributors and funding levels
- A current annual report

All proposals are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please allow four to six weeks for processing each request. Any materials submitted with proposals will be retained by Artmart. Because Artmart concentrates on having a direct impact in the areas we have targeted for support, it is not possible to accommodate every proposal. Contributions made in one year do not imply continued funding in succeeding years.
