Daisies bloom with creativity at Artmart Studio
All our Daisy events are custom created based on the Petal requirements while considering the age level
of the girls. The character building concepts behind all of the Petals are carried out using creative art experiences. All supplies are included. Our Studio Director, Melanie Terry is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts and is passionate about spreading her love of creativity!
Actual Petal is not included but all requirements will be met to earn the Petal. There is a minimum of 6 girls in order to carry out the event. Sunny’s Petal – Friendly & Helpful
1-hour, $10 per girl - First, the workshop leader will read “Sunny’s Story,” and ask questions about the story. Second, the girls will paint a mural about “Sunny’s Story” on a 36” x60” piece of primed, unstretched canvas. Third, the workshop leader will ask how the daisies can be helpful in the art studio after they have painted the mural. The girls will be guided in some easy clean-up kapers. At the end, you will have an incredible group mural to take with you as a troop!
Zinni’s Petal – Considerate & Caring
1-hour, $10 per girl -First, the workshop leader will read “Zinni’s Story,” and ask questions about the story. Second, the girls will sit in groups of three and come up with different ways to be considerate and caring. The ideas will be shared with the larger group. Third, the Daisies will practice being considerate and caring. On the table will be lots of different art supplies. Every five minutes, the Daisies have to trade art materials with another Daisy. At the end each Daisy will have a beautiful picture on fine art watercolor paper to take home!
Tula’s Petal – Courageous & Strong
1-hour, $10 per girl -First, the workshop leader will read “Tula’s Story” and ask questions about the story. Second, the workshop leader will talk about courageous and strong women (Mary Cassatt, Juliette Gordon Low, etc.). Each Daisy will create a picture of a courageous and strong woman, possibly one that was discussed or someone else that inspires them. Each Daisy will take a turn telling about their picture. Third, Each Daisy will draw a picture or make a collage of an animal that they think is courageous and strong. At the end, each Daisy take home two creative pieces of art on canvas board.
Clover’s Petal – Use Resources Wisely
1-hour, $10 per girl -First, the workshop leader will read “Clover’s Story,” and ask questions about the story. Second, the girls will make a collage by using provided magazines, and scraps of paper. Third, the Daisies will think about three ways to use resources wisely in the art studio, and in their regular meeting place. Each Daisy will have a resourcefully creative collage on mat board to take with them!
Vi’s Petal – Be a Sister To Every Girl Scout
1-hour, $10 per girl -First, the workshop leader will read “Vi’s Story,” and ask questions about the story. Second, the workshop leader will talk about Juliette Gordon Low’s vision for girls to be sisters around the world. The Daisies will create a group mural on 36”x60” primed, unstretched canvas about sisterhood around the world. Third, the Daisies will sit in a circle and take turns saying one thing that is different about one of their Daisy friends, and why they like it. Then they will say one thing that they both have in common. At the end, the Daisies will have a fantastic group mural to keep!
