A Letter from the Mayor of Creativity
There are art supply stores…and then there is Artmart. Artmart has really never been about art supplies. Sure, we sell art supplies. TONS of art supplies. And, frankly, I get kind of fired up about them. I mean, we’ve got some REALLY cool stuff. Amazing hand-crafted papers, the finest paints, a gazillion different brushes, and pens. Not to mention the most underrated gift selection in St. Louis—along with more frames than you can imagine.
But I digress. (I warned you that I get a little fired up when it comes to this stuff.) No, Artmart isn’t about art supplies. It’s about imagination. Artmart is the place you come when you want to get creative—and we’ve never lost sight of that. We realize that you come here to buy art supplies and frames. But we also know that you come here because you want your creativity to shine.
And, as a fellow creative type, I understand that when you need a 2-ounce tube of cadmium orange Old Holland oil paint, you need a 2-ounce tube of cadmium orange oil paint—right now. Every second you wait means your inspiration wanes. That means good art gone bad—and we simply won’t have that.
Or, maybe your inspiration was waning before you ever even thought about needing another block of Arches cold-press watercolor paper. Tons of people also come here just to get all fired up, just like I do. (Be sure to stop by and say hello when you do! We’ll form a support group.) Rest assured, we’ll have the paper—and about 39,999 other items that might provide the spark you need.
Simply put, we love art. We love the creative process. We love the stuff you use to make it. And—I know this is going to come off as schmaltzy, but I mean it—we love our customers. That’s why we’ve turned this old warehouse into the biggest collection of art supplies in the Midwest. And if we’re going to do our absolute best in serving you, we’ve got to have the stuff you’ve got to have--and then some. It’s that simple.
So the next time you need the cadmium orange or cold-press watercolor paper—or anything else you need to get creative, please come visit us. We’ve got all your imagination needs!
Artfully yours,
Keith Baizer
